Florida Veterinary Advisors was founded after Tom Seeko and СJ Burnett recognized a growing need for specialized financial guidance within the veterinary profession. What began in 2014 as a focus on helping individual veterinarians quickly expanded to include practice owners, associates, students, and veterinary teams nationwide. As their work deepened, they built a planning approach centered on aligning personal finances with business ownership, practice value, employee retention, and exit planning. Through speaking engagements, continuing education, and partnerships with veterinary associations, schools, and industry organizations, Florida Veterinary Advisors became a trusted educational resource across the country. The firm formalized its identity in 2018, expanded nationally, and launched the Smarter Vet® Podcast in 2020 to further simplify financial topics for veterinarians at every career stage. Today, Florida Veterinary Advisors is known for its education-first, planning-driven approach that helps veterinarians make confident decisions and build financial clarity over time.
